「極光の歌姫」と名高い「コーラル」にも当然下積みの時代があった。 デビュー当初から愛らしい容姿で一部濃いファン層ができていた彼女だが、緊張するとすぐに泣きだしてしまう癖がなかなか治らず、舞台や映像などの大きな仕事が取れずにいた。 彼女自身もそれを苦にしており、克服する為にあらゆる努力を惜しまなかったという……が、ホラー映像を我慢して閲覧するなど努力の方向が間違っていたという話も聞く。

泣き癖を克服し、バラエティなど今まで出来なかった多様な仕事を始めた「コーラル」。 今にして思えばこの年は彼女にとって最も重要な、人生の転機とも言うべき年だったといえる。 初めての仕事をする際は緊張よりも好奇心が勝るようになったらしく、毎回見せる彼女の新鮮なリアクションや素の表情は、今まで彼女魅力に気づかなかった多くの人々の目を惹きつけ始めた。 しかし、料理番組だけは過去にゲストとして出演したきり、一度もオファーが来なかったという……。
